David Talbot, a U.S. national, has practiced alternative dispute resolution (ADR) for the past twenty-six years.
David’s experience includes ten years as Ombuds for the World Bank Group and seven years as Ombuds for the Coca-Cola system (including Coca-Cola Enterprises, Inc. and The Coca-Cola Company).
David also led mediation programs in Los Angeles, CA, and Vancouver, WA, providing mediation training, coordinating mediation rosters, and serving as lead mediator for a broad range of litigated and community-based conflicts.
As an Adjunct Law Professor for the past thirteen-years, David developed and teaches an online and in-person Ombuds Course for the Pepperdine University, School of Law, Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. David has extensive experience developing and delivering a broad range of workplace training sessions including Conflict Resolution, Active Listening, Giving and Receiving Effective Feedback, Unconscious Bias, as well as multiple HR and ethics related courses.
David brings a great deal of experience in ADR processes including ombuds, mediation, group facilitation, conflict coaching, executive coaching, training, and providing systemic feedback to all levels of the organization.
David is a graduate of the law schools at the University of Idaho (JD, 1997) and Pepperdine University, School of Law, Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution (MDR, 1998). David is also certified as a Certified Organizational Ombuds Practitioner (COOP).
David has extensive experience working with the International Ombuds Association (IOA) as a former Board Member and member of several committees including leading the primary foundational Ombuds training.
