Mary Trevor

Mary B. Trevor, Director of Communications for the Dialogue Foundation, is an Emerita Professor of Law at Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. A former corporate litigator, Professor and Director of Legal Writing at Hamline University School of Law, and law student tutor and novice attorney writing coach, she now freelances as a Legal Copy and Citation Editor.
While at Hamline Law, Professor Trevor pursued her interest in Alternative Dispute Resolution by serving as the associate editor for the Journal of Alternative Dispute Resolution in Employment, co-authoring an article about incorporating a mediation simulation into the first-year law school curriculum, and periodically teaching a persuasive writing course for Hamline Law’s highly ranked Dispute Resolution Institute. After leaving teaching, Professor Trevor served as a Mediation Editor Consultant at the United Nations Office of the Ombudsman for UN Funds and Programmes.
Since early in the 2000s, Professor Trevor has acted as a frequent co-editor, with Dialogue Foundation Founder and Acting Director Giuseppe De Palo, of books and articles about the use of ADR in international business transactions.
